Year after year, OLIVE has been one of our most treasured and warm colors of the fall season. We start seeing it hit the fashion displays toward the end of summer to usher in the rich hug of autumn hues.
Five years ago, it was called Dried Herb, in 2018 and 2019 it was called Martini Olive and for 2020 it has been renamed Military Olive. Call it what you want - OLIVE IT!
And here’s a little tidbit about Olive - the first recorded use of Olivine as a color in the English language was in 1912 according to Wikipedia.
This year is the first that Pantone has identified Military Olive as a CLASSIC CORE COLOR simply because it is perfect alone or used as a neutral to mix with any other color or shade!
